After seeing the success of the King of the Baggers, the interest in having a category of style in Europe was growing and now it is confirmed that in 2026 we will have a “World Cup of Bagger motorcycles”, in which Harley-Davidson will be the brand responsible for supplying motorcycles.
It will be, therefore, a monomarca glass in which the Harley-Davidson Road Glide will be the chosen motorcycle. As in the United States, motorcycles will have a preparation and although we talk about the starting model, the reality is that it will make many differences with respect to the series.
With regard to the championship itself, we already know that this “World Bagger Motorcycle” will have a total of 12 races that will be distributed along 6 large awards of the season. A situation similar to Motoe, but in this case with races that will be played in Europe but also in North America.
For now, it seems that the World Cup Bagger will have between 12 and 16 pilots
Taking into account the current calendar and the one planned for 2026, the reality is that these careers in North America will be limited to the United States, the only American country that visits the championship. As for the teams that will participate, they are still unknown but the intention of the organizer is between 6 and 8 and that each of them has two pilots. Therefore we are talking about races that, initially, will be between 12 and 16 pilots.
Soon we will know more details of everything related to this new competition, including the way it can be followed. For now what we have are the reactions by Harley-Davidson:
«This is a new and bold new step in the aspirations of Harley-Davidson to compete globally. Harley-Davidson has been a pioneer in performance inside and outside the asphalt since our beginnings more than 120 years ago. More recently, we have demonstrated our commitment to the competition through our participation in the Motoamerica Mission King of the Baggers, and with products differentiated by its performance, such as our new CVO RR and the CVO Road Glide St. We have proven how performance connects with our pilots and followers, and we know they are looking forward to seeing more »said Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President and CEO of Harley-Davidson. «With this new series, we are excited to take a new form of competition to the world stage. Not only does it represent a new and brave chapter for our brand, celebrating our inheritance while we look at the future, but will add an incredible show to the largest motorcycling show in the world ».

Also Dorna, with Carmelo Ezpeleta as a representative, has given her point of view about such a different category:
“This collaboration with Harley-Davidson represents an exciting opportunity for both parties”said the CEO of Dorna Sports, head of MotoGP rights. «We offer a truly international platform for Harley-Davidson to expand its global presence, and Harley-Davidson is perfectly positioned to join us in the aim of bringing our sport to new audiences, associating with one of the most iconic lifestyle brands in the United States. This alliance has great potential for our strategies and will provide a real show for fans, providing a completely new flavor to the weekends of Grand Prize where the series will compete ».
