As with MotoGP a few days ago, this year we know in a very anticipated way the WSBK 2026 calendar. Although it must be said that in this case it is provisional and, therefore, we will have to wait for the final in the coming months.
Even so, all the circuits that appear in the WSBK 2026 calendar are the same as those of this season, so logic says that in principle the dates and clues we know will be very similar to the definitive ones.
With regard to Spain there is an important difference with respect to this season. The WSBK 2026 calendar maintains two dates in our country, but the Motorland passes until the end of May, keeping Jerez (which is pending contract) as the last appointment of the year.
But Motorland’s appointment is not the only one that moves in the season, because Balaton, the Hungary track that has entered the calendar this year, passes at the beginning of May instead of at the end of July. These changes in the first part of the championship are complemented by the passage of cremona to the last last round of the year.
This is a little more varied calendar than we have had this season, starting, yes, at the end of February in Phillip Island before arriving in Europe at the end of March, specifically to Portugal, where it will no longer come out in the rest of the season.
And, unfortunately, the WSBK 2026 calendar follows that line that has been implemented for several years in which there is no evidence, removing that of Phillip Island, outside the old continent. Neither Qatar, neither Argentina, nor the United States, nor Japan, nor Malaysia … for a championship that clearly does not arouse the interest it had.
