That is why we have been waiting for Yamaha’s debut for a long time and that is that the Japanese firm is the only one in the grill that still trusts in a four online that, as we said, has not managed to be especially competitive in recent times.
We have been waiting for the day in which the V4 debuts in competition and we have followed the little reliable information that was coming to us. But now we know something important on the road to Yamaha and it is that its new propeller is ready enough to make it debut in competition.
So far it is not known what performance has, but if we trust the fact that it has always opted in Yamaha in continuing to wait until it was competitive, logic suggests that, as little, it will be at the same level of performance as the four on the current line.
The V4 will compete in Misano, but they will not take it Quartararo or Rins
Of course, it will not be any of the official pilots of the brand who have the honor of being the first to use a Yamaha motorcycle with V4 engine. It will be the Spanish Augusto Fernández, who is a test pilot and development of the brand, who will go on track during the weekend with the New Yamaha, as confirmed through his YouTube channel.
Nor do we know what other changes to expect as to the rest of the solutions adopted and if we will see changes in form in the peculiar and classic M1. In this sense, the fact of setting up an engine with four cylinders in V allows on paper to make the motorcycle closer, although it is possible that this new empty space can be used to surprise us with new aerodynamic solutions.
There is no doubt that Yamaha is committed to evolution and being competitive again in MotoGP and the motor configuration change was mandatory. Now we will have to see what this new propeller is capable of in the hands of Augusto during the weekend and, later, during the post -prize post prize tests in the hands of the brand’s official pilots.
