Yamaha renews the WR250F in depth. The motorcycle of the Liter Fourth of the Japanese brand makes a leap forward. As usual, the model is renewed in alternate years and facing this 2025 is the motorcycle of the range that receives the most changes. Some changes that we could consider of a great draft, as they affect both the engine and the chassis and other elements of the cycle part.
Regarding the engine, the Yamaha WR250F has a new distribution chain that reduces friction loss. The chain is wider with redesigned pine nuts and shock absorbers. Also the high efficiency air management system helps to achieve an extra power, something that also contributes the silent that is shorter, which also has the advantage of mass centralization. The ECU has been updated for the engine to offer a softer and more controllable power delivery in low revolutions to the optimal performance in means and high.
If there are changes in the chassis in the engine too and are draft, because in Yamaha they have worked so that the WR250F frame has a greater capacity to absorb impact and lateral flexion with the intention of increasing the sensations that the pilot can have while softening the blows on irregular terrain.
The KyB suspensions are also responsible for this aspect, which have been checked with a front fork that reduces their career by 10 mm, and a new shock absorber that is also 10 mm shorter than the previous one. Thanks to this, the dough is centralized and it is also possible for the seat to be lower. The forks, in addition, can be configured in compression without the need for tools. The last of the big changes in the cycle part is the new three -point cross sparkling that is lighter.
To finish the changes of the WR250F, the plastics have been redesigned and the fuel tank has been stylized while a flatter seat has been chosen. All this with the intention of making the driving position more comfortable and the pilot has more mobility. As usual, it includes the Yamaha Power Tuner application, which has been updated with a quick adjustment to configure the engine response through the mobile and quickly.
The Yamaha WR450F does not change as much as the WR250F
As the Yamaha WR450F received deep modifications last season, in 2025 it only receives some minor changes. These are modifications in the graphics with a more modern style that it shares with the 250, as well as the seamless seat that also uses the new WR450F.
