It is clear that any caution is little before putting the controls of a motorcycle or the wheel of a vehicle. For that in Spain we have established reviews, the so -called psychotechnical tests that, when they are well made (although that is another aspect to be treated in the future), they are effective and guarantee medical suitability to be able to drive.
In fact, in our country before going to the exams, this review must have been presented, without which the rest of the procedure is not possible. That is why it attracts attention when the intentions of the United Kingdom government are known that they pose during the next fall.
And the view reviews will make mandatory, but only for those over 70 years. For now and even in case of approving the new law that will only affect the 70s up, a self -decoration of visual conditions is enough to obtain the approval.
The implementation of reviews is backed by accident data
The point is that an investigation carried out in April of this year revealed four fatal accidents caused by vision problems, so the main forensic of Lancashire, Dr. James Adeley, wrote to the Secretary of Transportation, Heidi Alexander, to say that measures should be taken to avoid future deaths.
These changes are also added plans to reduce the alcohol limit allowed in England and Wales and thus match that of Scotland in 0.5 g/l, since they are currently 0.8 g/l. The conjunction of these measures seeks to reduce the figures of fatalities on British roads.
