Marc Márquez, Álex Márquez and Pecco Bagnaia. Those are the three pilots who had been monopolized by victories and attention, with the permission of a Fabio Quartaro that already shone in Jerez. So in Le Mans we expected to see a new three -band duel, with a Fabio that could enter the fight.
What was not so predictable is not that it was Fabio to enter the fight, but that he entered with the force that his second consecutive pole entered. What was “Private Coto” by Marc Márquez since the first season race has become the property of a Fabio Quartaro, which is being very fast with the Yamaha.
The Sprint race put things in order … although not all
Fabio Quartararo, willing to shine at home, tried to play his cards as well as possible. But although he is being much more competitive, and his Yamaha M1 also still has a remarkable disadvantage with the Ducati. So it was not surprising that Marc Márquez First, Álex Márquez later and finally Fermín Aldeguer were surpassing the local hero, who stayed at the doors of the podium.
In the Sprint … there is only one king: Marc Márquez 🔥

But if interesting was that 100% Spanish podium, what we did not expect was a fall of Pecco Bagnaia. The Italian has been swimming all season and keeping clothes, making constancy its strong point, but on Saturday he could not do it and that there was still Sunday’s madness …
Sunday was the day of the most absolute chaos and the correct choice, that of Zarco, had a reward
After what happened in Austin, the Grand Prix Commission reacted to create a new regulation that rewarded good decisions or, at least, did not harm them. So when many pilots came to change motorcycle and put dry tires, others stayed on track with rain tires.
This choice that seemed little successful was, finally, the best because as expected, the rain reached a few minutes and the time they had lost recovered it. There were two great exponents of this strategy, one was Pecco Bagnaia and another Johann Zarco, and the two were about to be out of the equation in the line of line. A Bastianini failure ended Bagnaia and Mir on the floor, in addition to Zarco in the gravel.
Bagnaia … that did not enter to put dry tire … to the ground in the first curve 🤯

Fortunately, MIR, who was the worst stop, did not suffer seriously injuries, although a small fissure in his hand and pain. For its part, Bagnaia had to go through boxes, taking advantage of the fact that you could change motorcycle to try to recover time and Zarco, in silence, got to work.
Ahead, the absolute chaos with the two “Lep Penalcy” who had to pass virtually all the head pilots and who finished being more chaos when the rain began to squeeze. The falls began, including those of Fabio Quartararo, and began the changes of motorcycle to water configuration, which everyone had on the grill and many changed … less Zarco, which still did not appear on the radars.

But it was then, when everyone entered, that the French emerged as a leader. Now there was the question of knowing if the Frenchman, who in theory had punished his tires in those first laps of the race in which the track did not have so much water, could endure the thrust of Marc and Álex.
And Zarco Brillo, not only managed to maintain the advantage, but was extending and expanding and expanding until one of the most forceful victories of the last two decades in the category. The first of Honda from Álex Rins two seasons ago and the first of a French pilot in Le Mans in the queen category. Almost 20 seconds of advantage over a Marc, who left his brother Álex behind until he fell only one but twice to stay, like Bagnaia, zero in this race.
This is gorgeous 😍 a circuit as mythical as you man seeing one of theirs 🇫🇷

The third position of the podium seemed, after the fall of Álex, in the hands of Pedro Acosta, but that of KTM could not stop the thrust of Fermín Aldeguer that culminated a perfect weekend passing to Pedro and achieving third position. In “ant” mode Maverik Viñales has been all weekend in front positions, and confirms the tendency that its adaptation to the KTM is optimal, and that the KTM is more competitive and regular than it seemed.
On a Sunday of surprises, Takaki Nakagami, who had no rhythm throughout the weekend but made the same decision as Zarco, resulted in his participation as a guest in the sixth position and being the last of the pilots that crossed the goal at less than a minute of Zarco. Raúl Fernández achieved nine valuable points at the end of seventh, just ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio with Luca Savadori and Ai Ogura completing the top10.

After this peculiar weekend we go from head to for the next. MotoGP will visit Silverstone on unusual dates, and we will have to see what the peculiar British layout holds. What we do know is that in addition to Zarco shone in chaos, Marc Márquez is more leader, with 22 points of advantage over Álex and 51 on Pecco after only 6 GP, and having made the mistakes of Austin and Jerez.
To get an idea of the level that Spanish is showing, Marc has 171 points despite everything and last year after the sixth GP (which was in Montmeló) Martín had 155 …
