550 cc twin-cylinder, 54 HP and outrageous price

QJMotor has recently shown its new top of the range within the maxiscooter segment: the Fort 600. A model with which the Asian firm reaffirms itself in the two-wheeled sector, demonstrating its ability to offer mobility solutions at all levels. Furthermore, for the first time in its history, it has developed a model of this type powered by a 550 cc twin-cylinder engine.

QJMotor Fort 600: First details

Although the brand has not yet made an official statement about this Fort 600, different local media have leaked some of the main features of the model, highlighting its engine. 550cc parallel twinwith internal dimensions of 69 x 73.6mmequipped with water cooling, double overhead camshaft (DOHC), 270º crankshaft and eight valves in the cylinder head.

The brand declares a final power of 54 HP at 7,500 rpm which reaches the rear wheel through a CVT type transmission system and a toothed belt. For its part, the maximum torque is 54 Nm at 5,750 revolutionswhile the approved top speed rises to 165km/h. The propeller is in turn integrated into a cycle part that stands out for using aluminum as the main material for the manufacture of both the chassis and the rear swingarm.

The assembly rests on two alloy wheels shod in this case with tires measuring 120/70 R 15 and 160/60 R 15, front and rear respectively. With a wheelbase of 1,575 mm, the seat is positioned 780 mm from the ground. Its weight in running order scales up to 224 kilogramswith a maximum tare weight of 384 kilograms according to the approval documents presented by the brand itself.

These also include the final dimensions of this Fort 600 with an established length of 2,235 mm, 805 mm wide and a final height that rises to 1,385 mm. In addition, we have also learned about some key aspects of the technical and equipment configuration that the Fort 600 presents, among which we can highlight:

It is also expected to equip a large, full-color TFT screen as an instrument panel, fully connectable with our smartphone. Also a USB port, front and rear camera, as well as heated seats and grips or Keyless system (keyless start).

And all this for an estimated price well below the most direct competition. Specifically in the around 40,000 yuan, about 5,000 euros at the exchange ratealthough this is an aspect that has not yet been confirmed by the brand.
