There are not many motorcycle models that manage to last forty years on the market. However, the Suzuki GSXR750 has managed to reach this milestone and is now celebrating its 40th anniversary in style at the Lyon 2-Wheel Show. Behind this exhibition is the famous French club CLUB11R FIRST GSX-R which, since 2007, has organized up to 83 meetings around the model.
Suzuki GSXR750: A legacy that has lasted four decades
Under the title “40 years since the arrival of the first 750 GSX-R in France and the GSX-R lineage”the club will have around seventy copies of the model, thus showing the passion they have for the legendary Japanese sports car. The CLUB11R FIRST GSX-R is known for practicing the conservation, restoration and promotion of the 1st or 2nd generation Suzuki GSXR750 and 1100 and limited series with air-oil engines.
It will also be the 40th anniversary of the CLUB11R association, and the 15th anniversary of the CLUB11R FIRST GSX-R Association founded in 2009. The club has held throughout these years up to 10 Sunday Ride Classics, 15 Moto-Légende Shows, 14 Cups Moto Légende, but also the 25th and 30th anniversary of the GSXR750, as well as 8 Bol d’Or Classic, 4 Classic Machines, 4 Iron Bikers, 2 Gerard Jumeaux Trophies and different concentrations throughout France.
We can enjoy all this and much more in just a few weeks, from February 13 to 16, 2025in a new edition of the well-known Two Wheels Show in Lyon, France.
