The Continental Travel Photography Contest returns to a new edition of the Great Travelers Meeting

One more year the well-known Great Travelers Meeting will enjoy a new edition of the Continental Travel Photography Contest. An initiation that reopens the door to sharing those stories in image form… and giving them the prominence and awards they deserve. Participating is very simple and today we tell you what steps you must follow to try to proclaim yourself winners this season.

Continental Travel Photography Contest in detail

The Continental Travel Photography Contest, like every year, looks for that special photograph that we take of a road, a landscape, an unexpected stop or even an everyday moment that ended up being unique. From there, all that remains is to send it and be part of a very particular exhibition within the meeting, where the attendees themselves will decide which are the most outstanding images.

Beyond the prizes, the value of the contest is also in everything that surrounds each photograph. Share experiences, discover other ways of traveling and see that special bond between the motorcycle and the trip reflected in images. And in addition, all the selected photos will be delivered to their authors printed on photographic paper, as a souvenir of a weekend that always leaves its mark.

The bases of the contest will be the following:

  • The theme of the photographs must be related to motorcycle trips (it is not essential that a motorcycle appears in the photo, but it is recommended that something related to it appears, helmet, equipment…etc).
  • It is essential to participate in being previously registered in the XX EGV and ONE (1) photo per registrant will be accepted. Members of the organization, guest speakers or personnel related to collaborating companies may not participate in this EGV.

  • Minimum resolution of 1 mb. and in JPEG format.
  • Photo submission date: from this moment until Sunday April 26After this date we will not be able to accept more photographs.
  • A professional photographer, outside the EGV, at his discretion will make a selection of the 15 best photos received, which will be printed on A4 size photographic paper and will be displayed during the afternoon of Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 at the entrance of the Alba de Tormes cinema-theater where the audiovisuals will be held. No claims related to the selection made by the aforementioned photographer will be accepted.
  • The photographs can be voted on by all those attending the EGV during Friday and Saturday morning. Along with the photographs on display there will be a ballot box to cast your vote and, courtesy of Caixabank, enough pens for each voter to take one as a gift.
  • At the end of the day on Saturday, the exhibited photographs that are claimed by their authors will be delivered to them.
  • The winning photo will be the one that receives the highest number of votes. In the event of a tie between two photographs, a draw will be held to choose the winner.
