There is little doubt based on the first images of the model, that the new Super Glide It is one of the most successful creations of the American brand in recent years. Both its classic design and the chromatic choice of its lines are simply to take your hat off. The only but… Only 2,500 examples of the model will be manufactured. At least that’s what the Milwaukee firm has officially communicated.
Harley-Davidson Super Glide 2026: “returning to the origins”
The Yankee brand announced its latest news on its main social networks under a brief statement: “Introducing the next generation of Super Glide. In 1971, the original FX Super Glide changed the motorcycle industry forever. Built for riders who still believe that chrome, custom styling and open roads never go out of style.”
For the occasion Harley pulls its well-known engine Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic declaring a maximum power of 98 HP/73 kW at 4,600 rpm and 162 Nm at just 2,500 revolutions. A mechanism that is embedded within a strong tubular steel chassis that remains faithful to the original design from the seventies. Also the 49 mm telescopic fork that commands its front or the detailed chrome radial wheels “sheathed” with tubeless tires follow this pattern.
At the level of details, the brand has not missed the opportunity: “The 2026 Super Glide takes the minimalist spirit of the original FX and reinvents it for today’s roads. It is low, long, simple and designed for those who believe that the best rides come when there is no pre-established plan”they explain from the company.
However, aspects as relevant these days as a good level of safety and equipment have not been left aside, without resorting excessively to the technological wild card: ABS, TCS, DSCS, TPMS, in addition to having cornering assistance, are included among the standard equipment of the new generation Super Glide. Also the Full-LED lighting, a 5” analog speedometer with digital indicator included.
Additionally, each 2026 Super Glide motorcycle is individually serialized on the tank console as one of the only 2,500 motorcycles produced worldwide “to commemorate the exceptional return of one of the most influential names in the history of Harley-Davidson,” they explain. All this for a price of $15,999, about 13,800 euros at the exchange ratealthough at the moment it is not official that the model will be offered in Europe.
