After bringing together thousands of fans during the centenary edition of the World Ducati Week, Ducati will once again occupy the asphalt of Misano with a very different proposal, although equally full of passion, speed and technology. On September 22 and 23, 2026, the Italian track will host two new days of the DRE Racetrack, the sportiest aspect of the Ducati Riding Experience.
The program is aimed mainly at motorcyclists who already have some experience riding on a circuit and wish to improve their technique with the advice of professional riders. It is not simply about renting a motorcycle and completing free runs: the proposal combines theoretical training, practical exercises, data analysis and personalized monitoring on one of the most important stages in international motorcycling.
Misano is also a place especially linked to the recent history of Ducati. The circuit regularly hosts the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix, as well as the spectacular Race of Champions that is part of the World Ducati Week. Driving a Panigale there, following the instructions of some of the pilots linked to the brand, is an experience that is difficult to replicate outside of the DRE Academy.
Four levels for different experiences
The DRE Racetrack is structured in four modalities: Evo, Evo2, Master and One-to-One. Each one is oriented to a level of experience and specific objectives, from consolidating the fundamentals of sports piloting to individual work comparable to what could be done during a professional training day.
The Ducati Panigale V2 S will be the motorcycles used in the Evo and Evo2 courses. Their sporty configuration, their power delivery and a chassis designed to offer precision make them an appropriate tool for working on aspects such as position on the bike, braking, line or acceleration when exiting corners.
The Master course will raise the level with the Ducati Panigale V4 S. In this modality, the organization maintains a ratio of three students per instructor, which allows for closer monitoring of each participant. Action cameras and the DDL system, acronym for Ducati Data Logger, will also be used to collect information during the sessions and subsequently analyze the rider’s behavior.
Telemetry allows us to go beyond sensations. By reviewing the data it is possible to study with greater precision the braking points, the opening of the accelerator or the way in which the different phases of a curve are linked. This information, combined with the instructor’s observations, makes it easier to detect errors that often go unnoticed when the pilot is guided solely by his own impressions.
A Panigale V4 R for each student
The most exclusive experience at DRE Racetrack is once again the One-to-One course. In this format, each participant has a dedicated instructor during the day, a private space inside the box and access to the Open Pit area.
The program also includes a subsequent analysis session, during which both the recorded images and the data collected on the track are reviewed. The objective is to reproduce, as far as possible, the work method used in competition training, adapting it to the level and needs of each student.
Participants will be able to choose between the Ducati Panigale V4 S equipped with Racing Kit or the new Panigale V4 R MY26. The latter will be one of the main novelties of the September sessions and represents the maximum expression of Ducati sports technology applied to a registered motorcycle.
The Panigale V4 R incorporates solutions developed from the company’s experience in MotoGP and the World Superbike Championship. Among them, the so-called Corner Sidepods stand out, aerodynamic appendages designed to generate ground effect during cornering.
The bike is also equipped with the Ducati Racing Gearbox, a gearbox specifically designed for circuit riding. This system works together with the Ducati Neutral Lock, a solution that prevents accidentally selecting neutral during aggressive reductions and brings the shifting operation closer to that used on competition motorcycles.
According to Ducati itself, the Panigale V4 R has been the protagonist of a particularly successful 2026 season in the World Superbikes alongside Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona. The Italian brand also claims to have won its twenty-second constructors’ title in the championship at Donington.
Instructors from the competition
One of the main values of the Ducati Riding Experience lies in its team of instructors. The academy has more than twenty years of experience and has already trained more than 34,000 participants through its different programs.
In this edition, the group will be made up of professional drivers such as Michele Pirro, Karel Abraham, Lorenzo Zanetti, Samuele Cavalieri, Franco Battaini and Davide Stirpe. All of them will work under the coordination of technical director Dario Marchetti.
The presence of pilots with international experience allows students to receive instructions based on real competition situations. The training is not limited to explaining where to brake or how to enter a curve, but also addresses issues such as body management, precision of movements, confidence in the front end or how to take advantage of the electronic aids of each model.
In addition to the corresponding courses, all participants will enjoy a session as passengers with a qualified DRE instructor. During these laps, the professional will show on the asphalt itself the correct lines, the braking and acceleration points and different driving techniques.
Riding as a passenger in a Panigale driven by a professional can be as eye-opening as it is demanding. It allows you to understand the extent to which a modern sports bike can brake, turn and accelerate when used correctly, in addition to offering a direct reference to the rhythm and fluidity that you seek to achieve during practical sessions.
With the four modalities, the monitoring of professional pilots and the possibility of riding the new Panigale V4 R, the DRE Racetrack will once again turn Misano into a true university of sports driving.
