“Honda will begin a collaboration with the Japanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger “that transcends industry boundaries to unite the world of motorcycles and fashion.”they announced a few minutes ago from the signing of the golden wing. And the results of such a union have not been long in coming: Honda showed yesterday, for the first time, the concept “Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept” taking advantage of the parade of its project partner in the Milan Fashion Week 2027 Women’s Collection Spring/Summer.
A little history of both brands
On the one hand we have Onitsuka Tiger, founded in Kobe, Hyogo prefecture, in 1949, a year after the founding of Honda in 1948. Both brands were born in Japan and have developed their activity for more than 75 years on “the foundation of distinctive technologies and Japanese spirit of creation”they explain.

The firm began manufacturing sports shoes and, thanks to innovative technologies and ideas developed through in-depth research, became a trusted sports footwear brand for athletes in Japan and around the world. She would be the seed from which the well-known ASICS would later be launched. Today, it has consolidated its position as a fashion company.
For its part, driven by the firm desire of its founder to “serve people with our own technologies”Honda has continued to rise to the challenge of advancing mobility through its unique technologies and ideas, creating the joy of mobility freedom.

Today, both have expanded their activities globally, offering their respective products to a wide variety of customers of all ages. With many aspects in common, including the pursuit of advanced technologies and manufacturing excellence, as well as their spirit of facing new challenges, Honda and Onitsuka Tiger decided to undertake this collaboration.
“Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept”
“The Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept was created as a new model that symbolizes this collaboration”they explained during their presentation. The curious thing about the matter is that they argue that it is “based on a mid-displacement sports motorcycle”. If we look closely at the shapes of the chassis and the engine cover we are almost sure that under that sharp fairing painted in Tiger Yellow, the iconic color of Onitsuka Tiger, is a CB750 Hornet.

The livery is completed with striking black stripes that run along both sides of the motorcycle, simulating the characteristic design of the Japanese brand’s shoes. For their part, the wheels, predominantly black, incorporate yellow details and the logos of both brands. “From the color combination to the smallest detail, each element has been carefully studied to create a distinctive motorcycle” they comment.
A collaboration that goes beyond motorcycles
As part of this collaboration with Honda, Onitsuka Tiger presented during Milan Fashion Week a collection of footwear and clothing that incorporates the Wing Mark, the symbol of Honda motorcycles. The collection was designed inspired by motorcycle culture. The joint presentation of the Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept and this collection provided an opportunity to highlight the attention to detail in the manufacturing processes shared by both brands.

Through this collaboration, Honda “will work to create opportunities that allow more customers around the world to experience motorcycle culture in a closer and more accessible way, offering a new appeal generated by the synergy between both brands and free from the limitations of conventional borders”they conclude.
