The recent Chongqing Motorcycle Show 2026 has served as a stage for the leading brands in the sector to show the world some of their most relevant innovations that they will have in their range next year. In the case of Honda we have the new ones Rebel 250 and Rebel 500endowed from now with a 3.6-inch full-color TFT instrument panel and the second-generation RoadSync system.
Most relevant aspects of the Honda Rebel 2027 range
Those known in China as CM250/CM500, equivalent to the Rebel 250 and Rebel 500 that are sold in other parts of the world, have become the center of attention of those attending the well-known Asian motor event. Although they remain unchanged in terms of their general technical configuration, for next season they include two interesting new equipment features that substantially improve the driving experience at the controls.
On the one hand, we have the addition of a new full-color TFT instrument panel. This replaces the current compact 100 mm dial with a black background LCD screen and white backlighting, which includes gear and fuel consumption indicators, among others. With 3.6″ in size, as the main novelty, it includes the second generation of the Honda RoadSync system, and navigation with complete maps.

A simple and practical way to raise the technological level of the Rebel range, although it is not the only improvement from which it benefits for next year.
The Honda E-Clutch reaches the rest of the Rebel range
The culmination of the list of innovations that the new Rebel 250 and Rebel 500 will enjoy is the technological Honda E-Clutch system, now available in both versions. This is one of the new features that the brand has been announcing for some time now. In fact, at the beginning of last year we already discussed the topic when the Japanese firm confirmed the launch of the Rebel 250 2025 for the Japanese market.
Regarding the operation of the system, we are dealing with an electromechanically controlled clutch that assists a manual transmission, managing the entire movement process of the motorcycle, whether when starting, while in motion or when reducing speed. Of course, this technology does not make the motorcycle automatic. What is automatic is the clutch. In fact, to change gears you always have to use the gear lever.
Finally, and exclusively for the larger displacement variant, it will also have Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), a technology that is already offered in the current Rebel 1100. “This detects rear wheel spin and electronically adjusts engine torque to ensure traction and stable driving characteristics are maintained.”they explain from the brand itself.
