A 250 cc boxer with 70 hp and hybrid technology

Benda follows yours, either in terms of design of its mounts, as in applied technology to boost them. The latter includes a range of boxer models that, for now, has a first member, even if it is only a prototype mode: The P51 Concept.

Just presented on the occasion of Cimamotor 2025, the Chinese brand takes muscle with its new retro -looking naked that, a priori, would be equipped with such a mechanic.

Benda P51 Concept in detail

To tell the truth, we had recorded for a few months of what Benda was preparing for the last quarter of this year. The newly presented P51 Concept made its first appearance as a design ramber last April. Already then the filtered files of the Asian firm told us about a possible model equipped with an opposite bicylindrical engine of 250 cc.

Baptized under the internal code BD250-3Bthe P51 Concept has become the first Benda prototype equipped with this mechanical configuration. As described by Motorrad Online, the P51 Concept offers in its standard configuration a power around 30 hp. However, this can be significantly raised thanks to having “An additional electric motor … mounted centrally in the front, below the two boxer cylinders.”

Specifically, they could be extracted until 70 CV and one 100 nm of maximum torque If you choose to use a hybrid technology. But there is even more, since the brand announces versions with manual change or electronic clutch (Benda Direct Drive, BDD), being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. This is thanks, among other things, to the brand announces a weight of just 175 kilograms in marching order.

Everything indicates that it will be facing next year when Benda lashes the P51 in its final version, although without significant changes with respect to the concept of recently presented. Subsequently, other models and versions equipped with boxer engines of different displacements would arrive. In fact, the Chinese firm also announced a propeller with this mechanical architecture and 698 CC of displacement on the occasion of the Chinese exhibition.

Oras New Benda in Cimamotor 2025

In addition to the future Boxer models and engines, Benda also presented a 6 -cylinder engine and almost 1,700 cc of cubicvery similar to the one equipped by the BMW K1600. The biggest difference lies in a larger race in the Chinese block, being able to raise the total displacement. This is taken to 69 mm by 67.5 mm of the German, achieving a maximum figure of 1,686 cc.

Next to this mechanics, Benda has announced the arrival of a double clutch electromechanical transmission EM-DCT. A power of at least 160 hp and 180 Nm, current figures declared by the German brand for its Grand Touring model is expected. In any case, it will not be before 2027 (predictably) when this technology arrives in the form of models to the current range of Benda.
