The launch of the new Thruxton 400 is imminent. This is confirmed by the latest images, where it has been hunted on one of the main roads of the Indian city of Pune. In them we can see the one that looks like the final version of the model.
In addition, both the context in which it has been seen, as well as the clothing that the pilot who went to his controls looked, suggests that the British firm was in full recording of a launch advertisement.
New Triumph Thruxton 400: Café Racer with Solera
There is no doubt that Triumph has given on the nail with its new Triumph Thruxton 400. In the image and likeness of the Thruxton 1200, the British brand perfectly combines the essence that all its models distilled Modern Classic with a balanced technical set. The latter is shared with the current Speed 400, Speed T and Scrambler 400x, although the new racer coffee of the brand has a sportsmanship plus thanks to the use of a series of specific elements for the occasion.
As we can verify in the unit that today stars in these lines, this is quite resembled to the design in the form of a referend that recently offered us the virtual artist Pratyush Rout. Starting from the lines of his sister, the Speed 400, Triumph incorporates new semimaners, front cupulino and rear hill cap. At an ergonomic level it seems that the appelids are somewhat delayed compared to the Naked variant.
If we talk about finishes, in addition to the beautiful color scheme that this Thruxton 400 wears, mixing red and silver with a good part of darkened components, highlights the choice of black color for the completion of the bottles of its inverted fork. In addition, it has a powerful Full-Led lighting team, as well as a blunt side of chromed finish.
In the technical section no relevance changes in the Thruxton 400 are expected compared to the aforementioned Speed 400. This happens to equip the Euro5 monocylindrical engine of 398 cc water cooled by water, equipped with a cylinder head with double head tree (dohc) and four valves that currently declares a power of 40 CV at 8,000 rpm, a maximum torque of 37.5 nm at 6,500 turns. This is in turn associated with a 6 -relationship gearbox.
Regarding the cycle part that forms this Thruxton 400 we find the already known steel tubular chassis and the screwed subchassis. The suspension resorts to an inverted fork of 43 mm and a rear monoamortiguador with independent tank. The set rests on 17 -inch wheels that in the test unit were shoes with Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires.
To the latter a braking system composed of a 300 mm front disc, with a radial clamp of four pistons and metallic hose, and another of 230 mm acting on the rear axle. Both are assisted by double channel ABS. All this is combined with an equipment equipped, among others, electronic accelerator
According to local media, which have echoed the news in Primicia, they estimate that the price of the expected Thruxton 400 will not be too far from their current range sisters.
