A motorcycle with a Ferrari F355 engine: as crazy as it sounds

We’re not here to question anyone’s sanity, but if you’re told right off the bat that someone is planning to make a bike with a Ferrari F355 engine, you might at least be surprised, just as we were by the Ferrari that was fitted with a Kawasaki H2R engine. And now that we’re pre-surprised by the idea, we might be completely surprised to see how it’s being carried out by Hazan Motorworks.

From the city of Los Angeles, in the United States, this tuning workshop has decided to go one step further and create a motorcycle with the engine of a Ferrari F355. To give us a little background, the Ferrari F355 is a sports car, a two-seater as every Ferrari should be, with a central-rear engine, rear-wheel drive and an engine that makes everything tremble in its path.

The engine of the standard Ferrari F355 offered 380 hp

It was produced between 1994 and 1999, so we are talking about an engine that is at best 25 years old, which is a V8 capable of delivering 380 hp with a torque of 363 Nm as standard. As you can see, these are “totally reasonable” figures for any motorcycle and “easy to control”.

Well, starting from the aforementioned Ferrari engine, Maxwell Hazan, the name behind the company and the project, has been shaping the rest of the bike, of which, for the moment, no details are known.

It’s all just speculation and will remain so until the 3rd of August when the model’s features are revealed and we can see it in full. What does seem to be true from the little we’ve been able to see in the video is that we’re looking at a very low, sporty bike.

This is certainly indicated by the suspension and slicks it is fitted with, as well as the rear swingarm. We can also see that the engine is self-supporting and forms part of the chassis and that the wheelbase is, apparently, long.

This could even be a motorcycle for acceleration races, although the truth is that it does not seem like it will be a comfortable or practical machine. However, the desire to hear that V8 in action with free exhaust or practically with free exhaust is increasing…
