«Reloaded by Creators» is the sports division that Stellantis has to honor its classics. It comes rather from the FCA era and the Italian firms with the greatest tradition in competition in the past with Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth at the helm. One of his most recent works mixes two of them to leave many with their mouths open. Because they have launched the Abarth Classiche 1300 OTa modern reinterpretation of one of its most legendary models using a well-known and highly sought-after base.
The first thing is to say that it wants to remember the Fiat-Abarth OT 1300 of 1965. A model that from the beginning stood out in competition for using the base of the Fiat 850 and for details such as the fiberglass body or the elaborate aerodynamics using that periscope-style air intake to cool the cabin. Now they wanted to bring the classic back to life, but from a modern point of view. For this they have used on Alfa Romeo 4C as a base and have made modifications using the Abarth Classiche 1000 SP as a reference.
In modern creation we opt for a carbon fiber body totally modified to look a little more like the original 1300 and a little less like the Alfa Romeo 4C. It was clear that he had to maintain the periscope, although he does so in a slightly more timid manner. On the front you can appreciate curved shapes that the Abarths of the time had, with small circular headlights and generous air intakes. The rear has a plexiglass engine cover and a mask that integrates the rear lights.
The truth is that not much information has been revealed about the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT. No details are known about its mechanics, although it could maintain the 1.7 TBi four-cylinder of the 4C with its manual transmission and a power of 240 HP. Taking into account its low weight, it would help you achieve quite good performance and that sporty character you are looking for. There are no images of the interior either, although that minimalist and spartan design could be maintained. They announce a limited run of five units and we assume that the price will be quite high.
