One of the most notable changes to the 2025 BMW R 1300 RT is the introduction of electrically adjustable flaps at the front, a feature that improves wind protection and adapts to speed.

These flaps, visible in the spy photos, can be extended or retracted to optimise aerodynamics. In addition, the 2025 R 1300 RT features a front radar for adaptive cruise control and collision warning, as well as a new centralised LED headlight that replaces the previous cornering light system.

The 2025 BMW R 1300 RT features the new Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) automatic transmission, which eliminates the need for a manual clutch, while retaining the option of changing gear manually. This technology, introduced on the R 1300 GS, is now extended to the R 1300 RT, offering greater comfort and efficiency when riding.

The new chassis combines a steel main frame with an aluminium subframe, ensuring robustness and load capacity, which is essential for its use as a vehicle operating in the security forces of different countries.

It also includes an audio system with speakers in the front fairing, and improved connectivity that allows Android and Apple devices to be easily paired.
