Aleix Espargaró stays out of injury

Although Aleix Espargaró retired as a permanent pilot of the MotoGP World Cup, the truth is that his first year of “retiree” is being quite moved. At this point in the season he has already played three major awards, and in Hungary it was going to be the substitute for Somkiat Chantra, who is still injured.

Aleix, therefore, would play his fourth race, but this time not with the colors of HRC but with those of CSF, Lucio Cecchinello’s team. However, when arriving on Thursday Balaton Park had back pain and when the medical exams passed, they detected that the vertebra L3 was affected.

In the official statement there are no more details of the injury, but they confirm that he will not be able to run this weekend and that he would return to Barcelona to undergo more evidence. In this way, the CSF motorcycle is a more weekend without going on track, adding with this the fourth consecutive GP that nobody goes up to it.

Remember that at first Iker Lecuona was the pilot designated by HRC to get on the motorcycle, at least in Austria and Hungary, but with the lesion of Lecuona precisely in Balaton Park in the last round of the WSBK to date, HRC opted for one of its two testers, in this case Aleix Espargaró.

Even so, there will be a Espargaró on the MotoGP grill, Pol

Who will climb the MotoGP in Hungary will be the other Espargaró who exercises as a test pilot, Pol. In his role as a tester and reserve pilot of KTM, he will occupy the position of Maverick Viñales, which continues with the recovery of his shoulder.

Although now the role of the little one of the Espargaró is another, this will be the second time that goes on track this season to replace Maverick. He did it and in an outstanding way in Brno, and now he will help KTM and Tech3 not to leave a motorcycle stopped at a time when the Austrian brand seems to be getting important improvements.
