The official team Yamalube Yart Yamaha EWC (Yart)which regularly competes in the World Resistance Championship (EWC), will compete with a special red and white decoration along with the factory equipment Yamaha Racing Team (YRT) using the YZF-R1 of races.
Will do it to dispute the 46th edition of the resistance career of 8 hours from Suzuka «Coca-Cola» of the FIM World Resistance Championship that will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025.
The Yart joins the acts of celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Yamaha
The red and white colors were first seen on a Yamaha racing motorcycle in 1964, and in 1973 they adorned the YZR500 (0W20) for the first challenge of the full season of Yamaha in the 500 cc world championship. Since then, it has become a symbolic color for the brand’s competition motorcycles.
This year, while Yamaha Motor celebrates the 70th anniversary of its foundation in 1955 and returns to the legendary 8 hours of Suzuka with a factory equipment for the first time in six years, they have adopted a special decoration in red and white in the YZF-R1, based on the iconic production racing motorcycle, the YZF-R7 of 1999.
As the leading Yamaha team in the EWC, and continuing with the manufacturer’s spirit of challenge, the Yart will wear this red and white decoration along with the YRT, while the two teams compete for a podium and try to take the victory in the legendary 8 hours of Suzuka. In addition, the leather monkeys that the pilots Marvin Fritz, Karel Hanika and Jason O’Halloran will use, along with the shirts that all the staff of the team and the boxes themselves will wear, will also wear the corporate colors of the brand
On this historical moment of the brand and the presence of Yart in the mythical 8 hours of Suzuka, said Marvin Fritz: “Every year we have a special decoration for 8 am, but this year’s is especially beautiful. I think everyone who sees it will get excited. I asked Mandy what color the motorcycle would be this year and told me to remember the classic R7, so I knew it instantly.”
Concludes: “As a child I saw Superbikes and I remember Noriyuki’s R7 do with the number 41. I have always thought that this decoration was special. For me, it is a true honor to be able to pilot our R1 with those same colors in Suzuka this year. To all who see us, I mean: remember that this year we are red and white, not blue, and I hope they encourage us in the race!
For his part, Karel Hanika has said: “I love the special color and white color combination of this year, and I find it beautiful. I really want to pilot it on the track. In the 8 hours of this year, our Yart motorcycle will look a bit different from the usual one, but I hope that fans like it. This motorcycle reminds me of Noriyuki do, which ran in the 8 hours and in Superbikes with the official team of Yamaha. We will do everything possible. Like him, so come to the race and support us. “
Finally, Jason O’Halloran argued about this historical moment: “It is an honor for me to pilot the red and white R1 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Yamaha. I remember the old R7, and had a great design, so I am looking forward to seeing our motorcycle with the same decoration in the exit line of 8 hours.”
Concludes: “Normally, we run with the traditional Yamaha blue, which is also very beautiful, but having our motorcycle with these special colors makes it even more exciting. I hope that all fans enjoy the race and see this motorcycle on the track. To all those who come to the race, we hope you support all Yamaha pilots, and especially the Yart number seven. I really want to see you there!”
It also echoed the news Mandy KainzDirector of the official Yart Yamaha EWC team: “This year’s special decoration for the 8 hours of Suzuka is really incredible. I remember that the OW02, called YZF-R7, was the motorcycle that inspired me to join the Yamaha family 26 years ago. In fact, I have an R7 exhibited in my office, so every time I’m going to work, I see it.”
“And now, competing with the R1 with the same colors in the 8 hours is simply amaz And white are the ones that stand out the most.
