The new Aprilia X 250thwith a decoration inspired by the American flag, is the most powerful RSV4 ever manufactured: 240 HP for only 165 kgwhich provides a weight/power ratio that offers a unique driving experience. Officially presented as the sixth generation of the X brand, we are looking at what is probably the production motorcycle most similar to a MotoGP.
Aprilia X 250TH 2026: A serial MotoGP for only 30 lucky people
On the occasion of the United States Grand Prix, Aprilia Racing presented the Aprilia X 250TH, a special edition resulting from the cutting-edge technological excellence developed in MotoGP. The new Aprilia
A motorcycle that is part of the Factory Works program launched by Aprilia Racing: a project conceived and carried out within the Competition Department based in Noale, aimed at making the same technology developed in competition available to those who intend to compete at the highest level in factory-derived series, or for those who wish to own an RSV4 or a Tuono V4 with top-notch performance.
On a technical level, Aprilia Racing has gone one step further with the Aprilia X 250TH. In fact, it is the first and only motorcycle in the world equipped with carbon-carbon brakes, the same ones used in MotoGP by Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín. Furthermore, in the aerodynamic section, the latest generation seat spoilers derived from MotoGP have been updated.
In the words of Fabiano Sterlacchini, technical director of Aprilia Racing: “The Aprilia
Concludes: “However, the truly unique aspect of this project is the cutting-edge braking system. The carbon discs allow extreme braking without overloading the system. This is a technology derived from MotoGP, also used in Formula 1, and represents a completely new feature that will allow braking performance never before seen on a motorcycle sold to the general public.”
Engine and electronics of the Aprilia X 250TH 2026
The Aprilia X 250TH is equipped with a 1099 cc 65° V4 engine developed by the Competition Department with SBK racing specifications. Maximum power reaches 240 HP at 13,750 rpm (maximum speed at 14,100 rpm), with a maximum torque of 131 Nm at 11,750 rpm.
This performance is achieved thanks to a specific evolution of the V4 engine that includes a higher compression ratio, a high-permeability Sprint Filter racing air filter with race-specific air intake trumpets, an SC Project titanium twin-pipe exhaust system and an STM dry clutch. The mechanical section is combined with the latest cutting-edge electronics.
Electronic management is provided by the Aprilia Racing APX control unit, a direct evolution of the systems used in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) that Biaggi won aboard the RSV4. It is a unit with fully adjustable parameters to adapt to riding styles and track conditions.
The APX system manages the front wheel lift mitigation function, as well as power, traction control and engine braking for each gear, and is complemented by an integrated GPS system. In addition to the limited and numbered edition of the Aprilia

The Aprilia The set is completed with Marchesini forged magnesium wheels, equipped with the Pirelli slick tires used in the World Superbike Championship.
The trim level reflects the Aprilia Racing philosophy. Numerous components are made of carbon or machined aluminum, such as the adjustable footrests or the steering plate with the serial number. The equipment also includes oversized water and oil radiators with WSBK technology and a final drive with titanium rear sprocket and lightened front sprocket manufactured by PBR, as well as a Regina 520 chain.
There is no doubt that one of the most outstanding elements of the Aprilia X 250TH is the carbon-carbon Brembo braking system, unique in its class for a factory motorcycle. The system uses carbon brake discs – the same ones used in MotoGP – with a diameter of 340 mm and a high mass, combined with carbon pads and a machined aluminum caliper with cooling fins.
The system is completed by the rear brake disc, which is held in place by a nickel-plated caliper. The use of carbon discs reduces the weight of traditional steel discs by half, helping to improve the overall handling of the bike, while carbon pads are approximately one-third less weight than sintered pads.
For its part, aerodynamics is another distinctive element of the Aprilia X 250TH, an area in which Aprilia Racing confirms its status as a pioneer in MotoGP. In fact, the lines of the new X are inspired by the RS-GP, especially from the design of the rear, which faithfully reproduces the air flow. The aerodynamic package incorporates advanced solutions derived from MotoGP, including seat spoilers – Aprilia Racing’s own technology – and tail spoilers, which first appeared on the RS-GP25.
The combination of seat and tail spoilers increases downforce during cornering braking, as do the rear spoiler, lower spoiler and cornering spoilers. Another distinctive element is the carbon structural support for the saddle, manufactured by PAN Compositi, with a sandwich structure manufacturing process. This is a specific way of laying carbon fibers to achieve extreme lightness without sacrificing stiffness.
The Aprilia X 250TH also incorporates an advanced ground effect aerodynamic system, developed and patented by Aprilia Racing. The design of the side fairings generates downforce when leaning the bike, increasing grip and stability when cornering. All fairings are made of carbon by PAN Compositi with the same procedures used for MotoGP motorcycles. The vertical load on a straight line is five times greater than that of the Aprilia RSV4, which increases stability and reduces wheelies, while in corners, the load is three times greater, which benefits cornering grip.
Price of the Aprilia X 250TH 2026
After his presentation Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, commented: “Once again, Aprilia Racing presents an exclusive product that is even closer to a MotoGP motorcycle. The Aprilia X 250TH is, without a doubt, a piece for true connoisseurs: something without equal. Over the years, the
The brand has already announced that Of the 30 units of the Aprilia X 250TH produced, 25 will be destined for the US market at a recommended retail price of $150,000, while the remaining 5 will be distributed in other markets, including Europe, at a price of €115,000 + VAT.
