Bulega sweeps everyone and points to the title

Maybe it sounds weird that, with two thirds of the Superbike World Cup to be played, the feeling is that the title will be a matter of two. But seen what was seen in Cremona could even be affirmed that if it does not happen it will be unusual of one: Nicolo Bulega. The Italian pilot has been above the rest, and only Toprak Razgatlioglu has been able to stand. And that Cremona’s was the worst track for Bulega as he has declared.

WSBK Cremona 2025 – Carrera 1: Razgatlioglu cannot stop the beast

Toprak put everything on his part, but it was not enough to stand up to Bulega

If Nicolo Bulega is always a hard opponent at the controls of his Ducati, when he has the day he is practically unbeatable, and that is what happened on Saturday. Starting from the pole and despite the efforts of a toprak Razgatlioglu, which shows day after day that he takes out all the potential and a little more to his BMW, finally Bulega managed to distance himself from the trick rolling consistently.

According to speed traps, we cannot say that Bulega had an advantage in Cremona, because the toprak tip and his were exactly the same: 310.3 kilometers per hour. But while Bulega could administer, the Turk went with everything while the tires endured. The podium, to a world of the two protagonists (11.4 seconds of Bulega) was completed by a Álvaro Bautista who in turn out of almost 12 seconds to Andrea Iannone, who ended fourth. Xavi Vierge achieved the fifth position with Gardner Sixth and Danilo Petrucci by tracing to the seventh position.

One of the options that Razgatlioglu had on the table to be able to stop his rival was the superpole Race, and the Turk tried with everything. However, the reality is that with half of the rounds, Bulega achieved half a difference against Toprak and also in front of the rest.

The BMW pilot tried to stand for Ducati’s, but the devastating rhythm that imposed and led him to roll a tenth of the pole caused Toprak to have to “settle” with the second position. The same happened to Álvaro Bautista, who at certain times of the race had to do with Sam Lowes that ended fourth, with Xavi Vierge again fifth.

The third race of the weekend was, in some way, a tracing to what we had seen in the previous two. Toprak trying to stop Bulega, Bulega imposing its rhythm and both escaping from the rest to end first and second, very distanced from a Álvaro Bautista, third that, in turn, had a great advantage over the fourth classified.

On this occasion the privilege of being the “first of the rest” corresponded to a Danilo Petrucci who could not shine as expected after the superpole Andrea Locatelli hindered him. The fifth place this time was for Lowes, with a sixth Lecuona in a weekend with two falls in each of the two previous races. His partner Xavi Vierge, much more regular, ended seventh.

After the Cremona appointment in two weeks the action will return to the WSBK, in this case in Most, the Czech Republic. There Busta will arrive with 34 points ahead, which could be many more without Assen’s breakdowns, and having led 143 laps in front of Razgatlioglu and the 7 of Bautista, which is the third in that ranking. Perhaps the superiority of Bulega is understood much better and the reason why there are no drastic changes or big problems, right now is the main candidate for the title.
