The Polish Flying Moto that seems taken from Star Wars

Only a few hours ago Volonaut, the Polish company founded by Tomasz PatanHe has published a new video of his innovative Airbike flying motorcycle. In addition, he has done it by putting a science fiction point in the purest Star Wars style, with the pilot dressed in Stormtrooper and in the background the well -known soundtrack of the mythical saga. So far a very elaborate staging, achieving what we assume that it was intended, to attract the attention of all those lovers to this type of gadgets.

But now, we must focus on the truly important, the technical part. But above all in what we do know about the future Airbike, even if it is truly little today. Because beyond having seen it in full flight in the different videos published by the brand, practically nothing is known about what are the materials used for its construction, which is responsible for promoting it or if it could really be legally piloted in a “civil” environment.

We must not forget that, like Volonaut with its Airbike, many are the brands that previously tried to carry out such a project and did not finally achieve it. Among other things because current legislation does not allow you to circulate with a pot of this type furrowing the flights of most of the countries that we call first world today. On the other hand, there are the very late final prices that reach a vehicle of these characteristics, of being able to offer the public.

Volonaut Airbike in Detail

Under the motto “The evolution of human flight”it seems that Volonaut follows the Airbike development process. However, they have already published several videos where we can see it in action furrowing the heavens. That is at least what a priori seems, unless the brand has used an auxiliary system to keep it in the air, as indicated from some international media. For example, “an elaborate crane configuration and painted cables?

In any case, after the video publication the brand has made a brief statement reviewing the most outstanding main aspects of the Airbike. For example that it is capable of reaching a maximum speed 200 km/h or 124 mph. “This” Supermoto for Skies “is driven by jet propulsion and is designed to transport a person”they clarify from Volonaut.

Perhaps one of the most striking aspects of this flying motorcycle is its maximum weight. From the Polish company they assure that “It is 7 times lighter than a typical motorcycle thanks to the use of advanced carbon fiber materials, 3D printing and a minimalist approach.”

Volonaut Airbike:

If a conventional motorcycle, which can reach 200 km/h, generally declares a weight of the order of 200 kilos, then the Airbike would only weigh 30 kilos? If so, it would be simply amazing, right? On the other hand, it uses an improved stabilization system using a flight computer. This provides automatic stationary flight and ease of control for its driver.

The driving position offers us 360 degrees of vision, providing a feeling of total freedom. Finally, as a remarkable fact, the Airbike has no rotating propellers, which would theoretically facilitate being able to travel through most of the areas with ease. At this point there is a key aspect that Volonaut has not yet shown. We refer to how to take off and land of your flying motorcycle. We will have to be attentive to new project updates.
