The preseason, in general terms, had not left a clear favorite to the first victories. But the tests at the beginning of the week at Phillip Island already predicted that Nicolo Bulleta was going to be the pilot to beat during the first round of the WSBK 2025, and it has been.
From free training to the last of the three races, he has been in charge of imposing his rhythm and no one, absolutely no one, has even been able to follow him. That, added to the rest of the performances that we have seen during the weekend, makes it clear that Bulega goes with everything.
Carrera 1 WSBK Australia 2025: Fulfilling the established script
The first of the weekend races, which is played on Saturday, had Nicolo Bulega like Poleman after marking an impressive 1.28,824. To get an idea of how fast it was, his best round would have placed eighth in the MotoGP Q2 last season, although it is true that the conditions were not the same.
There is no doubt that Bulega went out to the race with the duties done and with the clear objective: to put land in between with the rest. And he achieved it in a more or less simple way thanks to his rhythm and otherwise errors, which allowed him not to have to be exposed more than the account to achieve victory.
There was more battle for the second position with Toprak Razgatlioglu finally imposing himself on a Álvaro Bautista who, after a season that we could consider discreet, at the time of truth he is once again one of the candidates. Of course, it seems clear that both Toprak and Álvaro are going to have to go one step further not only to get to Bulega, but to escape Petrucci, Redding and Iannone, which were fourth, fifth and sixth respectively, and they have been All weekend being very competitive.
SUPERPOLE RACE: NON -FORCED ERRORS
We can say that at the scale, the superpole Race was tremendously similar to race 1, but with two very significant changes and that in curve four of the first round and in separate incidents, Razgatliolgu and Bautista were out to lose all the options. This left the short race practically sentenced for a Bulega, who did not make mistakes and that practically calculated his pole time in the race.

Andrea Iannone took advantage of the absence of Bautista and Razgatlioglu to be second after winning the game to Danilo Petrucci who, in turn, did the same with a Scott Redding that is again competitive.
Carrera 2 WSBK Australia 2025: Bulega Build and Toprak despairs
Neither having achieved the two previous victories, nor having to stop at mid -care perfectly to achieve a triplet that can only be put on a “but.” And it is that Álvaro Bautista, who went back to the second position in a brilliant race, snatched him the quick return to his teammate.
Although it seems otherwise, it is good news because it means that although it is reduced to a fight between Ducati pilots, we will at least have that fight. And that is another of the significant issues because Iannone finished third, Redding (with sanction included) fourth, Danilo Petrucci Quinto and Sam Lowes Sixth. That is, the first six motorcycles were official or private were Ducati Panigale V4r.

To this we must add that the two pilots who could stop the aspirations of the Ducatists are the injured Jonathan Rea, who is also lost portimao, and a raquegatlioglu toprak that is suffering more than expected, after his BMW lost the concessions that allowed them to have a different chassis last season.
As for the role of the rest of the Spanish pilots during the weekend, Iker Lecuona could not participate due to his physical condition after a fall in the superpole, while Xavi Vierge battled with the sling, that with more ambient temperature it has not worked so Well as in preseason, to end eleventh in the three races. For its part, Tito Rabat added an abandonment, a tenth and a tenth seventh position in each of the races.
