For Luca! Guintoli manages to complete the London Marathon with his monkey to raise funds against cancer

Until not long ago, Sylvain Guintoli’s life could have been worthy of envy: MotoGP rider, World Superbike champion, World Endurance rider, TNT Sports reporter… but it became a real ordeal when his son Luca fell ill with cancer. Unfortunately, little Luca could not overcome the disease and ended up dying at only six years old after a tough battle.

Just thinking about it is heartbreaking, but Sylvain turned that pain into energy to help and raise funds in the fight against cancer. He also did it with a clear purpose: to run the London Marathon in a motorcycle suit.

Since then he has been preparing himself and, in fact, we could see him in Thailand with the MotoGP grid posing next to him, and then he has taken that suit to different GPs in which he has been and, even, during the last 24 Hours of Le Mans he brought together several riders to go out and race alongside him with their suits.

Thanks to Sylvain Guintoli’s challenge, more than 170,000 euros have already been raised

Quite a challenge that took place last Sunday and that ended with a happy ending. And Sylvain managed to cross the finish line in 3 hours, 47 minutes and 46 seconds. An excellent figure for the vast majority of fans, but outstanding considering what it means to wear a leather suit for 42 kilometers and run in it.

Two of Sylvain's daughters also ran the marathon

The best thing, however, has not been the weather but rather that thanks to his action he has managed to raise a good amount of money for PASIC, a charity association that supports children and their families in these complex situations. Before the race he had managed to exceed 158,000 euros and now, after the effort, it is already more than 170,000.

If you also want, you can add your grain of sand to the fundraising, which has achieved almost 300% of its goal, and is still ongoing.
