Forget the legal problems. The Philips Ultinon PRO6000 LED in H2 and H7 are available for most motorcycles

Having LED lighting on a motorcycle that is prepared for halogens was not easy, but thanks to the new Philips Ultinon PRO6000 it will become so. The Dutch manufacturer, always at the forefront, has recently been creating a catalog of adaptation kits to replace conventional halogen bulbs with LED bulbs with a much greater lighting capacity.

These new Philips Ultinon PRO6000 are available in both H4 and H7, however they are not exactly the same in both sizes. In the case of the H4, the new bulb is a “direct-fit” type and has the same dimensions as the original halogen bulb, so it is not necessary to make any type of modification nor does it have to be approved for the change, although it is necessary to carry the general approval papers for the product.

Meanwhile, the H7 version is the Ultinon PRO6000 LED instead of the Ultinon PRO6000 Boost of the H4 and includes a heat sink, requiring the adapter and kit that is already included in the pack.

As in the H4 halogen, we find the low beam and high beam (high beam) in the same bulb and it is connected using the adapter. In the case of the H7 version, since the functions are separated, two bulbs may be necessary if you want to have the LED light in both low beam and high beam.

What you do have to keep in mind is that they are not currently compatible with all motorcycles and that the Philips Ultinon PRO6000 are currently approved in 90 models, although this list will continue to grow. In any case, if you want more information on the manufacturer’s website you will find it.

The Philips Ultinon PRO6000 offers up to 300% more lighting than a halogen bulb

As for its lighting capabilities, Philips claims that you can gain up to 300% more brightness on the road so you can distinguish better and sooner all the details you are approaching. Furthermore, its operating range goes from -40ºC to 105ºC so there is no problem when using it regardless of the weather.

According to Philips, you gain up to 300% brightness

If you are wondering about the price, after researching different options you can find them close to 60 euros online, an obviously higher cost than normal bulbs but with very different results including the duration, which is estimated at up to 3,000 hours. performance which is five times longer than a conventional halogen bulb.
