“Forma – Feelings designed by Ducati in Borgo Panigale” in detail

These represent the crucial steps through which the designers of the Centro Stile Ducati, and the engineers of the R&D department, transform the idea of a motorcycle into a true work of art. The Ducati model used to describe this process is the super sports car par excellence of the Borgo Panigale range: the Panigale V4.

The immersive itinerary of the exhibition opens with a space dedicated to “Brief”the document that provides designers with general guidelines with which to begin the stylistic creation of each motorcycle.

The next phase of “Analysis and Concepts” It is a flow of research in which the designer's thoughts oscillate between art, music, places, colors and shapes, composing a picture from which the personality and character of each new Ducati model are born. The third stage of the exhibition is dedicated to the “Sketches”the medium through which Ducati designers put all their ideas on paper.

Next, the most effective proposals are materialized in 3D CAD models that allow the creation of the first physical models, the so-called “Proportion Models”among which the best solution is selected.

At this point, the exhibition “Form – Feelings designed by Ducati in Borgo Panigale” continues with the next three steps that lead to the actual birth of a new Ducati motorcycle, through the “Modeling in Clay”. A 1:1 scale model refined by hand like a true sculpture, using highly moldable synthetic clay.

Is he “Master Model”a resin model that allows you to perfectly highlight lines and surfaces and evaluate any refinement, to then arrive at the “Clinic Model”which is a faithful representation of the final product (paint included) as well as the last step before entering production.

The narrative of this process in seven stages within “Form – Feelings designed by Ducati in Borgo Panigale”, It is constructed in a way that is fascinating and immersive. It allows the public to access never-before-seen content, made available to the public by the Ducati Stile Center and to speak directly with the designers present.
