The motorcycle market in Portugal is experiencing an important business movement. In fact, Multimoto Group has just reached an agreement to become the new official importer and distributor of Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi in the neighboring country. An operation that strengthens its position within the 2-wheel sector and considerably expands its brand catalog.
The new alliance comes into force in October 2026 and represents a strategic step for both the distribution group and the Italian manufacturer. The objective is to boost the commercial presence of the 4 firms, strengthen their respective dealer networks and improve contact with Portuguese customers.
The operation also comes after another important movement carried out by Multibike during this same year: the incorporation of Triumph to its distribution structure in the Portuguese country. News announced during the first quarter of this year.
Multibike: Four Italian brands with different identities
The incorporation of Piaggio Group contributes to Multibike 4 firms with a very defined personality. On the one hand, Aprilia It represents the most sporty and technological side, with a particularly outstanding track record in competition and high-performance road models. Moto Guzzifor its part, maintains its identity linked to Italian tradition, the characteristic transverse twin-cylinder engine and a very particular philosophy within the market.
Vespa provides one of the most recognizable names in international urban mobility, while Piaggio completes the operation with a wide range of scooters and transportation solutions for everyday life. The arrival of these brands will allow Multibike working with very different segments, from urban scooters to sports motorcycles, naked, trail and custom.
Triumph and the Piaggio Group promote their expansion
This new operation is not an isolated movement. In March 2026, Multibike officially assumed the import and distribution of Triumph Motorcycles in Portugal, replacing the previous representation scheme of the British brand. The strategy proposed for Triumph It contemplates 4 main lines: expanding the commercial network, strengthening after-sales services, offering a complete range of models and developing new communication and marketing actions.
