The trial may not live right now its best moment in recognition by the great masses, but it is still one of the most impressive disciplines to see, especially when the protagonists are great level pilots, many of them Spanish.
The disadvantage of the trial when congregating people is that, removing the “Indoor”, you have to move to the middle of the field, there is space between areas and enjoy it requires an effort.
So the solution found by the French Motorcycling Federation has been to bring the trial closer to the cities. In this way or, rather, the Urban Trial France championship will be born next summer.
What is the urban trial?
In a way, the usual format of any trial test will follow. That is, the pilots will face several zones. The difference is how it will be organized and the event will last 2 and a half hours, and there will be five obstacle zones that pilots must overcome twice.
These obstacles will be located in the center of the cities, in their most emblematic parts, so it will be a claim for both the attendees and in the face of the promotion of the cities themselves.
There will be a total of 25 pilots selected for the first edition, of which 23 will be directly selected according to their classification in the Trial France championship, while the remaining two places will be assigned by the local motoclub to give opportunities to local talents.

The calendar of the first edition, which will be held between the end of July and the end of August, will have a total of three tests. In Cahors, Ambert and Albertville and the convened categories will be TXGP, TX1, TX2 and TXF with the areas adapted to each of them. Cahors will open the calendar on July 27, the Ambert test will take place on August 1 and the championship will close in Albertville on August 30.
