Harley-Davidson abandons “Woke” policies to focus on what it does best, motorcycles

Harley-Davidson is trying to get out of a dark labyrinth in which it seems to have been mired for months. The latest of these battles that the North American company is fighting is related to the Woke policies, and the decision of the American firm to distance itself from this type of ideology when establishing action protocols in any area that concerns the company.

For those who are not yet familiar with this type of Woke policies, we could roughly say that they are all those related to the so-called current progressive movement. A series of impositions that companies of the stature of Harley-Davidson must, supposedly, bow to in favor of the interests of the citizens, especially those groups that, due to reasons of sex, race or religion, do not have the same opportunities as the rest. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Harley says no to “Woke” policies

This translates, in Christian, into the fact that the establishment The influence of politics and countless pressure groups ends up influencing the functioning of any brand or company. It is mandatory to apply the so-called DEI policies (referring to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). In other words, you don’t hire someone for the value they can bring to the brand, you do it following a series of guidelines induced by Woke policies, including the so-called parity quotas.

Ultimately, Woke policies decide who, how and when you should hire someone. What they don’t do is assume the mistakes and losses that companies may have due to these decisions. We don’t know if the latest problems that Harley-Davidson is facing within itself are precisely the result of these Woke policies. What is clear is that the brand has decided to make a 180º turn in this matter, as explained in detail in a statement issued on the social network X:

“For more than 120 years, Harley-Davidson has brought the joy of motorcycling to riders around the world, no matter who they are, where they come from or what they believe. We have one guiding principle: United We Ride. It defines how we conduct our business, treat our people and underscores our commitment to welcoming everyone.”

Concludes: “We are saddened by the negativity that has been generated on social media over the past few weeks, designed to divide the Harley-Davidson community. As a company, we take this matter very seriously and it is our responsibility to respond with clarity, action and facts.”

The company then lists the new measures it will take in the future to return to being a brand focused exclusively on the needs of its customers. A decision that has undoubtedly created great controversy in the US, but which enhances the American firm for trying to fight against the ideology that prevails in much of the West.
