It is unquestionable according to the latest information arrived from Japan, which Honda could already be working on a future CB1000F of new generation, after the recent casualties announced within the range of the Japanese firm. In particular, the one that is related to the one that we could so far consider its flagship of neo-back, the CB1300 Super Four.
Although in Europe the sales of this particular model had become a residual figure within the global computation of the brand, in other parts of the world, especially Japan, this type of vintage air mounts are an entire institution within the bunch community. Perhaps even more relevant was the discontinance of the little sister of the portentous CB1300.
We talked about the CB400 that, like the latter, had run out of legal margin to be able to adapt to new regulations regarding anticontamination. With all this, Honda seems to be ready to act and also has the ideal basis to do so, the novel CB1000 Hornet that, with the indicated touch -ups, could become that long -awaited neo -retro version to which Autoby companions have already baptized as CB1000F.
Honda CB1000F: What we can expect
The last alender that circulates on the network, referring to the future CB1000F makes us truly excited, since the design of this could be inspired by the beautiful CB750F of 1979. Details such as a megaphone -shaped silencer or the rear tail section, treasure some of the distinctive features of the Honda Sport Sport of the late 19th.
On the front of the CB1000F we have a round lighthouse and on this a picture of instruments that a priori would be digital, although ultimately the brand could opt for another solution. If we let ourselves be guided by the versions that we can find currently in the CB1300 range, we could also enjoy a SP variant, as is also the case with the CB1000 HORNET 2025.
All this combined with the benefits offered by the well -known tetracylindrical propeller inherited from the CBR1000RR Fireblade 2017 that, for the occasion, n offers us a final power of 152 hp at 11,000 rpm and a couple of 104 nm at 9,000 rpm. The mechanics would be efficiently combined with a showa suspension equipment, Nissin braking and equipment at the expected level:
- Full LED lighting
- Full -colored 5 -inch TFT screen
- Honda Roadsync connectivity for smartphone iOS/Android
- Rear flashing with emergency stop signal (ESS) function
- Electronic accelerator
- Throttle by Wire (TBW), etc.
Now it’s time to ask if this expected CB100F will be ready before the end of the year or, on the contrary, we will have to wait for the next 2026 to enjoy it. What is almost certain is that, in one way or another, we will know the final model for the next EICMA 2025, at which time the brands usually make us partakers of all the novelties with which they will start the following season.
