Although in the Spanish market we have a motorcycle like the Honda CRF300 Rally, we have just known a new RAID version of a 300 of the gold wing brand. This is the Honda Sahara 300 RR Concept, which has been presented on the occasion of the Week Motor Capital Fair.
There it has been seen what is an evolution of the XRE 300 Sahara that is marketed but taken to the next level. And it is that the original model could call it as “utilitarian”, while the Honda Sahara 300 RR Concept is a motorcycle with a clear Raid cut.
This is reflected in the components used, where the front fork that becomes inverted, or the front of the front and the lights, the tires, different points of the plastics and even part of the exhaust system have changed.
In a model with orientation RAID could not miss a Raid -style screen, paramanos, an instrumentation tower and, thinking of the most practical and adventurous side, a shell that can protect the lower part of the impact engine.
The Honda Sahara 300 RR Concept is just that, a concept
According to the information, some of these modifications of the cycle part arrive directly from the Honda CRF250R, so the quality jump would be important. As for the engine it seems that there are no substantial changes, it is a 23.5 cc monocylinder that comes from the standard motorcycle and that can work or with gasoline or with ethanol, something common in the Brazilian market.
Taking this into account with ethanol, it reaches 25.2 hp and 26.8 Nm while with gasoline the yield slightly low, to 24.7 hp and 26.4 nm. In any case, we are facing an exhibition model that has drawn attention, but that if production would do it in Brazil and perhaps in part of the South American continent. However, in principle it would not make any meaning here where the CRF300 series rally already exceeds the aforementioned benefits.
