Honda XR600R Enduro in detail
It is not the first time (nor will it be the last) that we echo a project of this type developed on the basis of the incombustible Honda XR600R. A good example of this is this 1997 XR600R, the work of Tom Kol, founder of Loko Dream Factory. A complete machine with which to enjoy to the limit on a motocross track, enjoying a characteristic aesthetic of those used by the old Baja 1000 competitions.
In the case of the XR600R Enduro from the Sicilian trainer VMX Restomod, with Frederick Scalia At the top, in addition to having updated almost all of the components that make up the model in its original version, it has given it a unique and personal touch thanks to a truly striking and iconic color scheme. As he himself explains to his Bike Bound colleagues:
“I would like to highlight that I build motorcycles out of passion and in my free time; My profession is airbrushing. On this project, I studied and thought about everything from the pieces to the graphic design.“To this end, in addition to the preparation workshop itself, he also directs Aerostyle Aerografiea company specializing in custom paint for pilots, especially custom helmets.

This incredible preparation has been designed and manufactured by order of an Austrian client who has decided to participate in the National Vintage Enduro Championship in his country. Regarding the final result, Scalia comments: “It’s a lot of fun, it gives you a fantastic feeling, and the difference with the new suspension is enormous, there is no comparison.”
“It is extremely manageable, with the new exhaust system the difference is enormous, it pushes much more, and with the Mikuni TM40 the power delivery is perfect, there are no gaps and it is very manageable.” He concludes by referring to what he is most proud of in this project:
“When you build something yourself, you are proud of everything… But maybe in this specific case: the chassis guards, the swingarm modification and the decoration.” And it is no wonder seeing the final result.
