How to make a 4-wheel motorcycle online step by step. And no, it’s not a quad

We must admit that, in the SMN editorial office, we have become true fans of some YouTube content creators like those who bring us this gadget today. 4 wheels in line and which should eventually become a functional motorcycle. Although to be honest, looking at the components that will ultimately make it up, we have our doubts.

In any case, nothing is impossible when it comes to spontaneous creations, and if not, take a look at the impractical but spectacular “monster bike” that our friends at Grind Hard Plumbing Co. have made. A mammoth-sized contraption equipped with a KTM 1290 Super Adventure engine, a handcrafted chassis and components, as well as wheels from some agricultural vehicle.

Inline 4-wheel motorcycle in progress

Now the guys from the YouTube channel BUM (“Build Ugly Machines”), led precisely by a former member of Grind Hard Plumbing Co, as we have learned thanks to our colleagues at Ride Apart, are trying to create their own particular creation: A 4-wheeled inline motorcycle.

To do this we will need (as our friends at Bricomanía would say), four wheels from a Toyota Camry, a Predator engine taken from a Coleman minibike, as well as a large tubular frame to hold all the elements. In addition, the idea is that three of the four wheels will steer, while the rear wheel is in charge of steering.

Throughout the first video of this series, we can see how its two protagonists have begun to weld what we could call the frame of this 4-wheeled inline motorcycle. Likewise, the elements that must form part of the steering have been designed and manufactured, and the handlebar in charge of moving it has been installed, the latter also belonging to the mini-bike that donated the mechanics.

The idea is to show the progress over the next few weeks on the YouTube channel itself and who knows, maybe even see this 4-wheeled inline bike circulating, which, at first glance, seems to be just as dynamic or even less dynamic than the Offroad creation from Grind Hard Plumbing Co. Everything is yet to be seen, so if you are interested in the project, stay tuned for new updates from the guys at BUM.
