This is the situation with which there was a patrol of the Road Safety Unit of the Traffic Police of Genoa, to stop an individual at the controls of a large displacement motorcycle. As it seems, he used the motorcycle card of his twin brother To identify, when he was questioned by the competent authority after committing some traffic infraction piloting said motorcycle.
On this occasion, the accused was stopped by a unit of the Italian police force after being sighted carrying out a reckless driving in Via Mameli, in Castellettoas reported from the local newspaper. After asking him for the motorcycle documentation and his driving license, he claimed to have forgotten everything at home, identifying with the personal data of his twin brother.
Using your twin brother’s motorcycle is not a good idea
After the verifications by the agents, they did not find in the first instance any type of deception, since the data were correct and the image that appeared in their computer program coincided with that of the individual. The latter, with the permission of the agents themselves, went to their private home to collect the documentation, to show it later to them.
However, it seems that the nervousness that the sanctioned showed from the beginning made the agents suspect that, after routine checks, they discovered several road infractions by this in which it had already been found that he did not have a motorcycle card. In addition, they realized that the affected had a twin brother and that both were registered in the same residence.
It is then that the agents are presented at the domicile of the two twins and initially check that the motorcycle is not parked at the door. Who opens them to be the brother who had just fined, but, nevertheless, he cannot show his driving license, since he claims to have delivered it to the agents who had proceeded to fine it a few hours before.
The agents waited for the other twin to lie at both of them and when they saw him arrive, they asked him to identify. This same said to be called exactly the same as the previous one, showing his driving license and the fine he had just paid. Undoubtedly, they were before the Brother with a motorcycle license, something that they could not check in situ, since the other did not open the door again.
So, with the true head of the Moto card at the police station, and having as reference the first statement of the twin brother who was at home, the latter faces, as they publish in Genova Today: “A criminal complaint for personality impersonation and false declaration of personal identity before a public official. Likewise, the case of his brother will be evaluated by the judicial authorities. The license used to try to deceive the agents was seized as evidence.”
