If the Harley-Davidson Museum you see is brutal, the one you don’t see is incredible

The world’s leading manufacturers have their own museums, and Harley-Davidson is no exception. The Harley-Davidson Museum is, as it could not be otherwise, among the best of them all. After all, it is one of the longest-running manufacturers, with a history that could never stop writing books, and pieces worthy of being exhibited.

That’s why the Harley-Davidson Museum is a blast that blows everyone away. In addition to the museum, which sits on the banks of the Menomoee River, there’s the 20-acre campus where you’ll find the MOTOR Bar & Restaurant, concerts, exhibitions, and a gift shop… But the most spectacular part may be inside.

And that is the luck of the Ride Apart team, who were able to sneak into the area that is closed to the public. What we could classify as “the library” of the Harley-Davidson Museum, where there is an area they call “the vault” and where there are shelves full of motorcycles.

There are so many bikes at the Harley-Davidson Museum that they use filing cabinets to store them…

A museum full of motorcycles, such as the Motos Made in Spain museum in Alcalá de Henares, already leaves you stunned with the number of pieces you can see and the ones they tell you are in storage. But seeing shelves like those used in the archives for motorcycles is taking it to the next level.

And yes, the Harley-Davidson Museum vault has so many motorcycles that to optimize space, instead of normal shelves, they are literally scaled-down archives in which there are no books or documents, but motorcycles and more motorcycles.

An amazing system that, if you are in Milwaukee and you are lucky, you might just see, although in the meantime you can enjoy it by visiting the museum online and from home at this link.
