This is the case of the specimen of Ducati 996 SPS, that we have more than a quarter of a century waiting for someone to decide to get it out of the box, and that for a few days it is being auctioned in the well -known Bring sales portal through Trailer.
A server asks, again, as someone acquires a motorcycle of this type with the sole purpose of keeping it for decades within the same box in which at the time it was stored to be transported, from the factory, to the distributor in charge of its subsequent sale. Something, on the other hand, that seems quite common among people of high purchasing power that seek only a long -term economic reissue.
Ducati 996 SPS: A “Sport Production Special”, very special

Reviewing the history of the model in question, Ducati launched this 996 SPS with the intention of being able to homologate the version destined to compete in the WSBK in 1999. Between that year and the 2001 season the Italian brand dispatched 1,780 copies in three different versions. In this case we talk about Unit 181 of the first edition of the model.
