General features of the KLX300 2027 range

The latter shares a platform with the standard KLX300 ABS and the new KLX300 DF ABS and combines the KLX300’s on- and off-road capability with added comfort for long trips.

Mechanically, the entire range is driven by a 292 cc single cylinder engineDOHC, liquid cooled “which offers optimal power delivery for the rider throughout the rev range,” they claim from the brand. For 2027, the big end bearing has been changed from a needle bearing to a plain bearing, contributing to better performance and higher power compared to the previous model. The brand now declares a power of 26.8 HP at 8,000 rpm 24.9 Nm at 6,800 revolutions.

As for the chassis, its well-known high-strength steel perimeter chassis stands out, suspended on a 43 mm inverted front fork and a fully adjustable rear shock absorber. In addition to front-wheel ABS for 2027, with the option to disable the system on off-road variants, dual-purpose KLX300 models come equipped with front and rear petal disc brakes.

A dual-piston caliper clamps a 250mm disc at the front and a single-piston caliper clamps a 240mm disc at the rear. The system is integrated into 21- and 18-inch radial wheels, front and rear respectively, except for the supermoto version. The latter mounts 17-inch wheels shod with street tires. Finally, we must mention the new digital instrumentation and connectivity with smartphones through the Rideology application, adding extra daily comfort to the four models.

At the front, a compact LED headlight is integrated into a slim, sharp front fairing that reinforces the KLX300’s enduro-inspired character. The slim headlight design provides impressive brightness while contributing to the light and aggressive appearance of a complete off-road machine.
