Lancia Ypsilon HF: the return of high performance

The launch of the Lancia Ypsilon has been one of the most important we have seen in recent times. It's not every day you can see the rebirth of a brand with so much charisma like the Italian one and, although it is a vehicle with a Stellantis platform, it is still something different from the rest. So much so, that they have prepared a high-performance version that will be linked to the return to competition. He Lancia Ypsilon HF It is the sporty electric car that will arrive in May 2025 and will be accompanied by a rally car.

The production model maintains the same platform and that electrical commitment, but with an increase in its performance. So much so, that the electric propulsion system is made up of a 240 hp engine which is much more than the normal 156 HP. The HF will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds and will stand out for its behavior. It will have a specific chassis tuning to provide it with a lowered suspension and details such as widened tracks or additional air intakes to improve.

Among the new features of the Lancia Ypsilon HF is the legendary HF logo with red elephants. It refers to Hi-Fi (means High-Fidelity) and will be present in more models from Lancia, with the Gamma and Delta joining soon. It has been simplified, maintaining the colors red, white and black; with the word Corse (race) also very present. Outside the model can be seen differentiated bumpers, larger wheels and a more sporty character. Inside, the trend continues with that outstanding blue upholstery.

Although if we talk about decoration, the jewel in the crown would be the Lancia Ypsilon Rally 4 HF of competition. It is the model with which the brand will return to racing, specifically in the Rally 4 category, which serves as a cradle for new drivers. In it a livery has been seen with the classic Martini colors and those lines in red and two shades of blue. In this case, it has a three-cylinder 1.2-liter turbo engine with a maximum power of 212 hp. It is front-wheel drive, has a 5-speed gearbox and a mechanical limited slip differential.
