This incredible collection of Yamaha racing motorcycles belongs to the former racer and motorcycle dealer Glyn Marriottwho competed on the back of some of these jewels in the 1970s. He currently owns a dealership and that is where they have been displayed until now. With an estimated price ranging between 5,000 and 35,000 pounds, we can find from a Yamaha TD-2 from “two and a half” in 1969, to a Yamaha TZ125 4JT of 125 cc belonging to the 1994 season.
As explained Mark Bryanfrom Iconic Auctioneers: “Yamaha collections are unusual, especially racing bikes, and a collection of this quality is very rare; As far as I know, I don’t recall a collection like this being offered at auction before. There are some very rare bikes here and they are all presented in good, restored condition.”
Concludes: “This may well be one of the largest private collections of Yamaha production racing bikes in the UK and I am honored to be able to offer this collection in London in February.” The total value of this collection of Yamaha competition motorcycles is estimated at around 300.00 euros and perhaps the motorcycle with the most value in the lot is the 1977 Yamaha TZ750D included in it.
