This year, perhaps more than the previous ones, we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of MotoGP at COTA. And MotoGP Austin 2024 awaits us with some certainties and quite a few unknowns about what we will see on the Texan track throughout the afternoons-nights of the Friday, Saturday and Sunday from this side of the pond.
Jorge Martín, after his impeccable performance in Portugal, emerged as leader of the championship, something that had not happened before. Therefore, he will have to begin managing the pressure of being at the front of the general standings in Texas, although it will not be easy at all, since there is a driver who races at home despite not being American.

We are talking about Marc Márquez who, incident with Bagnaia in Portimao aside, is having a promising start to the season with the Ducati GP23. Although we have already seen in the two previous GPs that top speed is not his bike's strong suit, and in Austin the back straight is impressive, the rest of the circuit works in Marc's favor.
Nor should we lose sight of, in addition to Martín and Márquez, the rest of the Ducati, Aprilia and KTM riders, since the truth is that the motorcycles of the three brands are the ones that are taking the places of honor.
Another unknown will be the role of Pedro Acosta, with a meteoric adaptation and for the moment without any surprises. It is not the first time we have seen a “rookie” be competitive, but his ability to not crash in the race is surprising. We'll see how he adapts to this track.
And to round off the unknowns section, the role that Japanese motorcycles and, especially, Yamaha, can play is on the table. And perhaps in the linked areas they can cover the shortcomings they may have in other points and, especially, with Álex Rins' abilities to go there quickly. We must not forget that Rins won in 2019, was second in 2022 and won again in 2023.
Where to watch MotoGP Austin 2024
Although Atresmedia is going to broadcast several GPs throughout the year, unfortunately this will not be one of them. Thus, the DAZN signal both on the platform itself and through other means will be the only way to see it in Spanish and live.
As always, there is the option of taking advantage of the MotoGP Videopass to enjoy all the action narrated in English and, if you don't mind waiting, watch the summaries that Teledeporte broadcasts openly once the GP ends.
MotoGP Austin 2024 schedules
The last afternoon race and the only one on the American continent of the season is ready and after the cancellation of the Argentine GP, only the United States will be representative of the vast American continent on the calendar. As always, the action will be concentrated on this side of the ocean in the afternoon and evening of the three days.
