This is what they think about motorcycle registrations in Europe
Antonio Perlotsecretary general of ACEMcommented: «Data for the first half of 2024 confirm long-term trends, with an increase in motorcycle registrations (+22% compared to 2019, from 500,252 to 610,757) and a decrease in moped registrations (-29% compared to 2019, from 118,958 to 84,666), partly due to the shift towards light motorcycles. Overall, these figures reflect a growing interest of European citizens in motorised two-wheeled mobility for urban, peri-urban and leisure purposes.”.
Jose Maria Riañosecretary general of ANESTHORhe added: “The growing interest of citizens in motorcycles is not a phenomenon exclusive to Spain. According to the data, more and more Europeans choose to travel by motorbike, which should lead to policies at different levels recognizing the uniqueness of motorcycles and their wide user base.”.
