Motorland Aragon It has begun a process of reforestation and revegetation of several areas of the extensive sports complex. In total, 5,785 copies of various adapted species The Mediterranean climate will be planted over the next weeks, whose mission will be to improve landscape integration, protect soils against erosion and increase biodiversity in the environment.
In this way, the access roundabout, the lower step, the stand 3 and the Peluse 4 and 6 will be the main action areas, which derives in 6.64 hectares of the complex. After an exhaustive land analysis, the chosen species are:
- Acebuche
- Carrasco pine
- Oleander
- Thyme
- Lavender
- Rosemary
- COSCOJA
- Sabinas
- Shadow banana
Motorland Aragón, a reference in sustainable development initiatives
All of them selected for their resistance to drought conditions, and for being able to provide landscape and ecological value to the Motorland Aragón complex. The execution of the project will have a specialized technical team that, by manual plantation in previously prepared land, will guarantee the correct implementation and maintenance of the vegetation.
The total culmination is planned in December 2025. The first step will be the realization of holes adapted to the different species in each of the areas. With this action, Motorland Aragon is consolidated as a reference in sustainable development initiatives in the sports and tourist field, providing benefits for both the environment and for the thousands of visitors who enjoy their facilities every year.
In addition, this project represents an advance in environmental sustainability, contributing to mitigate carbon emissions and integrate into the environmental commitments of the Government of Aragon and Motorland Aragón.
