Electra, a company specialized in the development and installation of ultra-fast charging points for electric vehicles in Europe, reinforces its management structure in Spain with the appointment of Oscar Piera as commercial director in the country. Piera will be responsible for coordinating and developing the deployment of Electra in the country, a role he assumes after having participated in the implementation and growth of the company in Spain from its first phases.
Oscar Piera has a long history within the brand
A Telecommunications Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and with a master’s degree in Project Management in the TELCO field from La Salle, Oscar Piera began his professional career in a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, where he participated in the creation of a Smart Cities department oriented to public tenders, before joining Deloitte in the field of strategic consulting for the public sector.
In 2023 he joined Electra as regional director to lead the company’s expansion in the Levante region (Catalonia, Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands). Piera commented: “My goal is to continue developing an ultra-fast charging network that stands out for the quality of the user experience, the reliability of the infrastructure and a clear technological commitment, both for private customers and professional fleets.”
In 2025, the penetration of electrified vehicles in Spain grew to 32.6%, a figure that reaffirms the need to continue expanding the charging infrastructure to accompany the expansion of the model. “In the medium term, the objective is for Electra to have a network with coverage throughout the national territory and become the preferred option for electric mobility users in Spain”says Óscar Piera.
The company currently has 10 charging stations in Spain and plans to deploy 40 more during 2026, which will allow it to expand its ultra-fast charging network in strategic and high-traffic locations. He concludes by assessing Oscar Piera’s capabilities for his new position at Electra: “His experience in regional development and his knowledge of the market will be decisive in coordinating the commercial strategy at the national level in a stage of strong expansion of electric mobility.”
