There is little doubt that the Porsche Taycan is one of the most complete electric cars on the market. The first model of this type made by those from Stuttgart surprised by its capabilities, even in the access versions. However, after the update they have dared to go one step further and release a high-performance variant. Thus they welcome the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, which is not only the most capable in the range, but also the most powerful model they have launched to date. In fact, he has two records under his belt having broken the times at the Nürburgring and Laguna Seca.
Although that is secondary, since what is most notable about this specimen would be its more than 1,100 HP of power at specific moments. With the electric propulsion system made up of two motors, one on each axle to achieve all-wheel drive, it offers a starting power of 788 HP. But it doesn’t stop there, because by activating Launch Control you can reach 1,033 HP or up to 1,108 HP for two seconds. That cavalry added to the 1,340 Nm of maximum torque They result in performance typical of a true supercar.
When equipped with the Weissach package it is capable of accelerating 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds (in 2.3 seconds without the package), not to mention a 0 to 200 km/h in 6.4 seconds to leave the Taycan Turbo S far behind. The key to this improvement is the evolved pulse reverser and its current maximum of 900 amps on the rear axle (previously 600 amps). It maintains the 105 kWh battery (97.0 kWh useful) and its autonomy remains at 555 kilometers in this version. In its behavior, the Attack Mode and longitudinal dynamics improve, details that have led it to set circuit records.
One of the keys in the development of this vehicle has been the 75 kg weight reduction thanks to the intensive use of carbon fiber in a good number of points since it has chosen to dispense directly with the rear seats. It also has the Porsche Active Ride suspension with a specific tuning and high-performance tires, mounted on 21-inch forged wheels. As standard it comes with ceramic brakes Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) with gold calipers.
We also see that the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has a specific aesthetic and many details that are not present in the rest of the range. At an aerodynamic level, the new rear spoiler with a Gurney flap, while on the front it has a new spoiler with deflectors. The new metallic Pale blue and metallic Sky purple colors stand out, in which the black details contrast.
Inside what stands out the most are the sport seats with carbon fabric finish (optionally the adaptable Plus), in addition to the Race-Tex upholstery combined with black leather. The aforementioned Weissach package includes additional aerodynamic elements, specific graphics and no rear seats or Bose sound system to save an additional ortho 70 kg. The price of the Taycan Turbo GT with this package is 248,685 euros in Spain.
