The Expoclàssic show in Mollerussa (Lleida) is putting the finishing touches to its 29th edition for September, with a Volkswagen Golf monograph and the ‘Eternal Rivals’ exhibition, with Ossa, Bultaco and Montesa motorcycles. This week, the Fira de Mollerussa has presented the monographs that will be exhibited this year during the event, on the days September 21 and 22.
The presentation, including a car and motorcycles, took place in the municipal park of the city of Lleida and was attended by the vice-president of Fira de Mollerussa, Joel Bastons; the president of the Motos Clàssiques Ponent association, Xavier León, as well as other members of this group, and Ramon Romeu, from Tallers Romeu, owner of the car on display.

In his speech to the media, Bastons highlighted «a job well done» Throughout the almost thirty years of the event, while stating that the objectives of the fair entity with respect to the show are “to create a quality, local and specialized fair”The spokesperson for the trade fair body thanked the association for its collaboration “for his commitment” to the Expoclàssic show and the Talleres Romeu firm for the contribution of the car at the presentation ceremony.
For his part, the president of the association, Xavier León, who has valued the Lounge Expoclassic Mollerussa 2024 as “a good way to bring people closer to classic motor culture”has announced the content of this year’s two special issues, which will complement the Automobile, Motorcycle, Accessories and Collectibles Market.
Regarding the Golf car show, which will be on display at the Pla d’Urgell Pavilion, there will be 8 or 9 vehicles from the first twenty years of the model and different versions such as Cabrio, 4×4 or off-road. León has also confirmed that work is being done to ensure that a commercial brand can provide the latest Golf model to the show.
Regarding the motorcycle exhibition, León has indicated that the Eternal Rivals exhibition seeks to compare and highlight “this certain rivalry” between Ossa, Bultaco and Montesa when buying a motorcycle in the 70s and 80s. The monograph will consist of eighteen motorcycles, from six different modalities (trial, road and off-road, among them), and where three Catalan brands will be represented.
The Expoclàssic de Mollerussa 2024 show, which marks the start of the Lleida trade fair’s autumn calendar, is thus warming up the engines for a new edition of this show aimed at the world of classics and which offers visitors a wide market of accessories and collectibles.
There are also various monographic exhibitions and the traditional Classic Motorcycle Meeting, an event which this year celebrates its 30th start and which has the collaboration of the Motos Clásicas Ponent association and the support of the Mollerussa City Council.
