The Kawasaki H2 revolutionized the panorama of the hyper -sports motorcycles, bringing back the concept “turbo” to motorcycles. We put turbo in quotes because the H2 do not directly have a turbocharger system but of a compressor (superchar in English), which has a similar function despite its differences.
And it is that in an engine with compressor like that of H2, this element is mechanically linked to the engine itself, which is the one that makes it work instead of doing it with the exhaust gases, as in the turbo.
This has an advantage and is that although the compression capacity is lower, it has no delay in the power delivery that the turbo do with their well -known “lags”. Therefore, for a motorcycle it is a much more effective choice.
The fact is that this engine, which we have seen even prepared for drones, could have a different use, as we have been able to see in a small video that Kawasaki USA has uploaded to its social networks and has called the Project H2.
Is the Project H2 a UTV with an engine of more than 300 hp?
It only lasts 15 seconds and there are no clear images, so we are clearly before a teaser, an advance mini-tráiler to have pending the next step. But that little video gives us some clues.
The first is, obviously, in the name because H2 and Kawasaki only mean one thing: supercharger engine. The second arrives with the unmistakable sound of the same engine and, the third, arrives with two moments in which one of the Kawasaki UTV seems to be appreciated, first on a side of the plane and then deliberately unemployed so they seem to be the desert dunes.
From there there is nothing more information about it and, in fact, Kawasaki USA’s marketing play is very well spun, because they take everything next to secrecy. To such an extent that they have created a website that simulates access to secret files.
Of course, for now there is no information and all you can do is subscribe to a newsletter and expect information.
