QJ Motor seeks to revolutionize the 125 sector with this bicilindrical cruiser

QJ Motor has grown accelerated in our market in recent years, with a very clear strategy: to offer visually attractive motorcycles, with equipment above the average and very competitive prices. We can say that this same line is the one that follows SRV 12 that, in addition, it arrives with a very different proposal than we can find in another 125.

The fact that the Chinese company bets on a V Bicilinder in this displacement makes it an unconventional motorcycle within the current scenario. The usual thing are monocylindrical, cheaper to manufacture and maintain, but also less refined sensations. With this 13.5 hp and 10.2 Nm engine, the brand tries to make differences, especially in the softness of operation and sound, aspects that count a lot in a Cruiser model.

The secret is on the bicilindrical

The new QJ Motor SRV 12 seeks to strengthen the Chinese manufacturer in Europe

It is interesting to compare this SRV 12 with the previous SRV 125, a model of the brand itself that did use a 15 hp monocylinder. Although on paper the power is somewhat greater in that, QJ Motor seems to have now prioritized the driving experience in front of the final figure, betting on a more elaborate engine that should transmit a more authentic character.

Aesthetics also plays a fundamental role. SRV 12 collects the strokes of SRV 300, with an elongated deposit, simple fenders and a line that clearly reminds the American customs of a small displacement. It is not a recharged design or seeks extravagance, but is maintained in a balanced terrain, with details that reinforce its style like the low seat and the wide handlebar.

In ergonomics that same approach is noted. The advanced strokes and the contained height of the seat facilitate a relaxed position, designed so that both in city and on secondary roads the pilot is comfortable. It is no accident: QJ Motor knows that the 125 cc public is wide and diverse, from young people who start with card B to users who want a light motorcycle but with personality.

The cycle part surprises inside the segment. The 48 mm inverted fork is an unusual component on motorcycles of this displacement, and is combined with a double rear shockwhere with preload adjustment that should provide a good balance between comfort and firmness. The brakes are also up to 280 mm in front and 240 mm behind, both assisted by ABS. Together, it is a more proper equipment of greater displacement.

The 16 and 15 inches tires, with wide profile tires (120/80 and 150/80), reinforce the muscular aesthetics of the motorcycle and at the same time provide low -speed stability, something key to less experienced users. In the technological plane, the LCD box with connectivity and complete LED lighting stands out, two elements that, without being essential in a 125, raise quality perception.

Despite what we could expect with a technically more complex engine, the price is not well above what we find in the segment. With 3,890 euros of rate in Europe, SRV 12 is placed in a reasonable price strip and although it is not the cheapest option, it is one of the most complete, especially if we add the six years of guarantee offered by the brand, a coverage that is unusual on motorcycles of this category and that undoubtedly transmits confidence to potential buyers.

The Motor QJ movement with this SRV 12 is also understood within its positioning strategy in Europe. In a short time the brand has expanded its catalog with Naked, Adventure and Custom options, and seems determined to compete on all possible fronts.
