Repsol launches new motorcycle oils and drops something that many have been waiting for years

Repsol has officially presented its new generation of motorcycle lubricants, a comprehensive renewal with which it wants to facilitate the user’s choice, raise the technical level of its products and strengthen its position in one of the most important markets for the company.

The focus, as explained during the presentation that took place at the Repsol Technology Lab, is on the real motorcyclist: offering a high-quality oil, easy to identify and adapted to the use that each person makes of their motorcycle, whether in the city, travel, highway or more demanding driving.

To this end, the new 4T range is divided into four very different families: Extremeoriented towards maximum performance and high-performance motorcycles; explorerdesigned for trail, touring and long routes models; urbanaimed at daily use, scooters and urban travel; and Riderfocused on those looking for reliability, easy maintenance and daily use.

The 2T line will also arrive later, and will also be based on the same product families depending on use and type of motorcycle.

On a technical level, Repsol has worked with high-quality synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral bases, PAO technology in the most advanced references and formulations prepared to withstand high temperatures, high mechanical loads, high revolutions and long periods of use, something especially important in increasingly demanding modern engines.

The brand is also committed to making purchasing in a store or workshop easier, with new packaging, a renewed design and clearer visual identification so that the user quickly knows what product they need according to their type of motorcycle and use.

New Repsol products will soon arrive to care for our frames.

But the offensive does not end at the motor oil. Repsol has confirmed that in the coming months it will expand its catalog with a complete line of motorcycle maintenance, cleaning and care: technical sprays, cleaning products, brake fluids, fork oils, transmission lubricants, chain solutions and other references for both workshops and the end user.

Another important point is sustainability. Part of the new packaging incorporates recycled materials and the company wants to continue moving towards more responsible solutions without compromising performance. In addition to its visual line, the curved shape of the packaging itself stands out from the design of these new containers, a nod to the road and circuit layouts.

But we cannot forget that all this evolution is born from competition. Since this year (and for five seasons), Repsol Lubricantes has been the official sponsor and oil of the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships, two perfect scenarios to collect data, test products to the limit and then transfer that learning to the street.

And although they are not currently present in MotoGP, during the meeting they did not close that possibility. After consolidating experience in the intermediate and small categories, the jump to the premier class does not seem ruled out. In this way, Repsol would continue its connection with the World Cup, which dates back more than 55 years, although in this new stage through its lubricants division.

With this new range, Repsol not only wants to sell oil: it wants to become a global reference for complete motorcycle care.
