The final version of the 675SR-R will arrive in 2025. Triumph and its three-cylinder bikes in CFMoto’s sights

On the occasion of the “CFMoto Day” the Asian brand has presented several really interesting novelties, among which is the new 675SR-R. Also the long-awaited CFMoto 500SR Voom, already on sale at the brand’s Chinese dealerships, as well as the future 250SR-Rtested first-hand by Moto3 rider David Alonso.

Without a doubt the novelty 675SR-R has become one of the most eagerly awaited new products from CFMoto. In addition, it has recently been confirmed that there will be a specific version for holders of the current A2 licence, which almost fully confirms the commercialisation of the model in Europe.

Looking back, it was last September when CFMoto unveiled its future 500SR and 675SR sports bikes. It then presented the revolutionary 3-cylinder engine with almost 100 HP of power that the brand had been developing, and finally showed the CFMoto 675 SR R Aspar to the public, a heartfelt tribute to the Aspar team and its founder that would be released in a limited edition.

Now we know all the details surrounding the new 675SR-R Thanks to our Italian colleagues at Motociclismo who have published the first official images of the model and its most important technical features.

The 675cc three-cylinder engine is undoubtedly the mainstay of the model, anchored to a steel double-cradle frame. At the rear is a conventional double-arm swingarm made of aluminium.

With internal dimensions of 72 mm x 55.2 mm, the brand declares a maximum power of 95 hp at 11,000 rpm and 70 Nm of final torque at 8,250 rpmThe mechanics are notable for the use of double overhead camshafts, liquid cooling and an electronic injection fuel system. The engine is in turn associated with a six-speed gearbox equipped with bidirectional electronic control.

Other important details of this 675SR-R They refer to its chassis, where CFMoto uses a 41 mm diameter inverted front fork and a monoshock with adjustable compression and preload. In both cases we have 130 mm of maximum travel. The set rests on 17” wheels fitted with 18” tyres. CST S3N in measurements 120/70 front and 180/55 rear.

The braking system has two 300 mm diameter discs at the front, actuated by four-piston radial calipers designed by J. Juan. At the rear, a single 240 mm disc works in conjunction with a single-piston caliper. The 675SR-R also has electronic aids such as ABS and Traction Control, the latter adjustable in two levels.

At the level of finishes and equipment, the rest has been put in, since the complete design is the work of Modena40 Designthe official CFMoto R&D team based in Rimini. Its appearance is dominated by aggressive lines, with its illuminated front end giving the bike a personality. The rear end is well defined by its sharp tail section and the silhouette of the swingarm.

Other data worth mentioning are associated with some of its most important dimensions:

  • 15 L maximum capacity in its fuel tank
  • Wheelbase 1,400 mm
  • Maximum length of 2,020 mm
  • Curb weight 195 kg

With a final price around 5,000 eurosthe first units of the 675SR-R will arrive at the brand’s Chinese dealerships from January 2025. Although the exact date has not been set, its commercial debut will take place during the first half of the year. It is not yet clear when CFMoto will start selling its new model on European soil.
